Madden (formerly Worley), father Guyle E. McCaddon, brothers Greg E., Daniel T. and Gary C. McCaddon, sisters Cathleen M. Taylor and Christine M. Scannell, and his children Julianne Lindsey Bennett and her husband Abel Mendez, Laif Davis McCaddon, and Amy Rose McCaddon, and many, many friends, whom he loved as family. David was a member of LIUNA Laborers Local #242. He worked for King County Housing Authority, North End Unit in landscape maintenance at Ballinger Homes. Known as Madman, David lived with abandon. He was passionate about disk golf, drumming, and camping & bonfires with friends. A memorial event will be held November 13, 2005; 1300 hours (1pm), hole 13, at Riverside Disc Golf Course, Riverside Rd. & 78th St. in Sumner. Madden; recent residence: WA. Troy S. MADDEN Troy died peacefully in his sleep on April 13, 2005, 8 days short of his 91st birthday. Born in Illinois in 1914, Troy moved to Seattle at 5 years old where he graduated from Roosevelt High School. He kept his high school job delivering for Western Union through the Depression. In 1936 he followed his policeman older brother and father into public service in as a streetcar operator. In 1941 he was appointed to the Seattle Fire Department where he worked up through the ranks until he was appointed Battalion Chief in 1960. As newly appointed Chiefs, Troy and Gordon Vickery were accredited with bringing the Medic system to the Seattle Fire Department. Troy was elected to the Seattle Fire Department Relief Association for 7, 3-year terms where he served as president 3 times. Troy loved fishing and frequently arranged fishing trips with his wife and many friends. In 1952 he built a cabin on Guemes Island where he was close to fishing, crabbing and clamming. Ten years after retiring he expanded the cabin to a home and moved to Guemes Island in 1977. Troy is survived by his wife of 71 years, Elaine Madden, his brothers Kenneth Madden of Lynnwood and Bob Madden of Murrieta California, his sister Virginia Arnett of SeaTac/Palm Springs, California, his daughter <span class="highlight-text">Judy</span> <span class="highlight-text">Worley</span> of Duvall, and his sons Mark Madden of Mercer Island, and Tom Madden of Seattle. Troy and his wife have suffered from Alzheimers disease in recent years. The family will have a private memorial at a later date. |
